Local Story On Our National Site

One of our public affairs volunteers wrote up this touching feature story, and it got posted on the front page of the national redcross website, http://www.redcross.org/ . The story profiles OTC volunteer Lisa Orth and her family’s contributions to the relief efforts in Vernonia.

I’ve been working on this relief effort from the OTC headquarters here in Portland, and though I’ve talked to Lisa many times throughout this past week, I still didn’t have a real mental picture of exactly she was experiencing (along with other residents in that area) until I read this story.
