Local Company Helps Neighbors
When I think of companies donating to disaster relief, I think of HUGE stores like Wal-Mart donating truck loads of bottled water. But during the December floods in Oregon, a smaller company made a big difference. Associated Crane and Truck, a Portland area company, donated $1,000 to the flood relief efforts. Here’s the photo of Dennis Vogel of Associated Crane and Truck presenting the actual check to American Red Cross volunteer Michael Redlin. In Redlin’s words “What amazed me most about this tragedy is how wide spread the desire to help our neighbors.”
