Thank you, Lise.
Lise just returned from the 2008 National Convention, and she brought back some souvenirs for her hard-working staff. T-shirts from the Threadless.com “American Red Cross Loves Threadless” t-shirt design competition! (We had fawned over these when we first heard about them, and it turns out they were selling left-over tees at the convention. Yay!)
I know they don’t look much like normal Red Cross shirts, but they were designed to symbolize the ideas of hope, humanity or compassion because that’s the spirit of the Red Cross. My shirt (on the left) is an artistic representation of Florence Nightengale, and Erica’s (on the right) is a cute little St. George removing a thorn from the foot of a dragon. Very sweet.
Thanks, Lise!
