Okay, so I said that Thomas is at an international conference in San Jose, but actually by now he’s probably already en route back to Oregon for the city-wide Disaster Preparedness Debrief in Manzanita tomorrow. 

As you know, Manzanita had a big tsunami drill a couple of days ago, but that’s not all.  They’re really going all out for National Preparedness Month. Tomorrow, from 10am to 1pm, they’ll have experts giving presentations on pandemic flu, the 911 system, and emergency preparedness. Way to go Manzanitans! (Manzanites? Manzanitians?…)
