Disaster Action Team Responses

Yesterday morning a house slide down a hill into other homes. Ten Red Cross disaster volunteers, responded to this incident doing the following:

–Helped 3 families, 7 adults, and three children with client assistance card to shop for food and
clothing.
–Provided a Red Cross Vehicle to have a warm dry place to do casework.
–Provided snacks and warm beverages to the victims and rescue workers of the landslide.
–Providing a link between Red Cross and the Fire Bureau Incident Commander, regarding
the situation.
–Finding a building that could be used to a shelter/service center if needed.
–Calling volunteers to respond to the incident.
