On Saturday May 10, 2008 the disaster volunteers helped a family of 2 adults, that had a fire in their apartment, the volunteers assisted the family with:

–2 nights stay in a nearby motel.
–A client assistance card to shop for food.
–Comfort kits containing shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, soap, razor and a washcloth.

The same day a family in Portland had a fire in their house. When the Red Cross volunteers arrived they helped the family of 2 adults and 2 children with:

–2 nights stay in a nearby motel.
–A client assistance card to shop for food.

On Sunday May 11, the disaster volunteers helped a family of 5 that had a fire in their manufactured home, the volunteers assisted the family with:

–A client assistance card to shop for food.
