Oregon Trail Chapter Assists in Colorado
Considering that I just left Colorado and the recent tornados, it should be no suprise that my first blog is about the relief efforts in Colorado for last week’s tornados.
Today, two Oregonians were recruited to support the relief efforts in Colorado. These mental health volunteers will provide psychological first aid to affected individuals and relief workers.
The Centennial Chapter in Fort Collins provided the initial response with immediate assistance from the Mile High Chapter in Denver and the Pikes Peak Chapter in Colorado Springs. The responding chapters did an excellent job getting relief activities started and are now seeking some additional support as recovery efforts continue.
Here is some information on the Red Cross response.
