A highlight from this last weekend’s sudden Summer Storm: a “tree fall” in the Gaston area crushed three vehicles in the front yard. There were no injuries, but power lines were damaged. The front of the house was also blocked and had some damage to the exterior. Red Cross volunteers assisted the family of four with food and a temporary stay in a local motel. Safety inspection shows no damage to foundation and the interior of the house is OK. The family will move back into their house when the electricity is restored.
