So the national folks have just posted a couple of videos that they’re calling the Red Cross Video Diaries. And they’ve just compared them to shows like The Real World and Survivor.

Now I’m far from a reality TV addict, but I know enough about both of those shows to be able to say that they contain high drama and, in some cases, appropriately blurred nudity. Watching “Volume 1,” I’m just not sure that I can expect the same ratings juggernaut from the Red Cross.

But I will reserve judgment and share with you this “peek into the daily lives of Red Cross workers providing on-the-ground services to U. S. field troops in Iraq, Afghanistan and Kuwait.”
