Capturing Humanity Through Photography

My sweetie went to San Francisco last weekend and brought me back something super-exciting… An invitation to a Red Cross photo exhibit! (Okay, it’s really just a postcard for it. The exhibit is free.)

The Bay Area Chapter and the Presidio Trust have partnered to put together a series of wartime photos from the archives of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Museum in Geneva. I was going to try to describe it, but I think they do a better job on their website. It’s all about war’s impact on humanity – in which, as you know, I am very interested.

It just so happens that I’ll be traveling to San Fran the opening weekend of the exhibit, and although I know I’ll probably need to bring along some tissues for my tears, I’m totally stoked.
If you’re in the Bay Area, I encourage you to go. Here are the details:
July 16 – August 17, 2008
Wednesday – Sunday, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
