Disaster Action Team Responses
The long Holiday weekend (4 – 6 July 2008) saw activity for the DATs:
An apartment complex in Milwaukie had a lightning strike during last week’s thunder storm. A small smoldering fire did cause two units to be displaced. One family of three needed food, clothes and motel; and will probably have to relocate. The other family of two hope to return after a short motel stay.
Clatsop County is assisting a fire family in Warrenton from last week. The family of two adults and three children were assisted with food, clothes and motel.
A late Sunday apartment fire in Portland temporarily displaced one family of two. Mother and child were assisted with food and motel stay.
