It’s a mapstravaganza!
If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a map is worth a thousand numbers. It’s much easier to get a quick scope of things by looking at a map than a long list of stats. So here’s a short list of great maps we’ve recently come across:
– Earthquake Watch Map. Earthquakes around the world as they happen. (Thanks to the Longview Hills blog for the tip.)
– Real-time, worldwide disaster alert map. By Emergency Disaster Information Services. Includes everything from volcanoes to biohazards. (Thanks to Amanda Ripley’s website for the tip.)
– Global disease alert Google Map. By the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences & Technology. (Thanks to John Solomon for the tip.)
– Map of Red Cross Major Response Efforts Since April 1. (Thanks to Wendy and the folks at National HQ for making this.)
