On Thursday, July 24, 3 families had fire in their apartment in Beaverton. When the Red Cross volunteers arrived they helped the 5 adults and 2 children with:

–Lodging in a nearby motel.
–A client assistance card to shop for food and clothing.
–Comfort kits for the adults, containing comb. shampoo, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste,
razor, washcloth and Kleenex.
—Comfort kits for the children containing comb, shampoo, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste,
washcloth, Kleenex, coloring book and crayons.
–Stuffed animal to comfort the children.

On the same day, Red Cross volunteers responded to a single family fire in Portland. When the volunteers arrived they helped a family of 3 with
