Vacation Volunteer Extraordinaire

We here at the Red Cross depend on volunteers and we appreciate every one of them. They do every imaginable job for us, from cleaning and preparing manikins, to deploying in other regions in response to disasters.

One such volunteer recently stopped in on her vacation from her new home in central Washington state. Kristen H., up until this past spring, was a full-time instructor for the OTC, but left to be with her husband after their recent marriage. When she stopped in to visit us here at the chapter last Monday she heard that we were in need of instructor on Thursday at the Oregon Trail Chapter, and, on her vacation, she volunteered to teach the class. This is the dedication that we often see from so many of our volunteers, and the reason that Kristen is given the title of Vacation Volunteer Extraordinaire!
