Alabama Red Cross Chapter Hit By Tornado
Have you ever wondered just how prepared a Red Cross chapter is for disaster?
I mean, if a quake hit Portland, not only do we have to respond and help everyone else, there’s also a good chance that our headquarters could be damaged and people in our own building could be injured. What’s our internal disaster plan? How do we continue operations if our HQ is destroyed?
Well, the good news is that a plan exists (maybe we can get Eric Corliss to blog about it) and we drill so that we know what to do. But right at the moment, we also have a real-life example. The Red Cross chapter in Enterprise, Alabama just got hit by a tornado.
You can find out more here. And we’ll be paying attention to find out just how they handle helping themelves while still helping others.

“The Red Cross chapter in Enterprise, Alabama just got hit by a hurricane.” A hurricane? I assume you meant tornado. Either way, it’s terrible and our hearts go out to them.
I DID mean tornado. I think my head is just too filled with disasters!
And the comment above was actually me. I was looking at Google Analytics for the blog and didn’t realize it had also signed me into Robin’s account for here. Ack.
Today is not starting very well.
