Japanese Prepare-aphernalia

How’s this for an odd but cool piece of prepare-aphernalia? A friend shared this with me the other day: a cabinet stabilizer sold in the earthquake preparedness section of a Japanese Department store.

It seems preparedness is a little more top-of-mind over there. I don’t know how I feel about the packaging though. The cartoon of the screaming mom and crying baby is a bit intense.
