American Red Cross blood donors have chance to win movie-themed prizes
Vampire Barnabas Collins may be condemned to the shadows for eternity, but the American Red Cross and the gothic comedy film “Dark Shadows” are teaming up to bring to light the constant need for blood. Before “Dark Shadows” hits theaters on May 11, 2012, blood donors are invited to join the Red Cross and help save lives.
From now through May 8, 2012, all presenting donors at participating blood drives will receive a “Dark Shadows” themed donor sticker and be entered for a chance to win a private hometown screening of the film for up to 50 of their closest friends and family. Official movie posters will be provided to secondary prize winners.
At the Portland Donor Center (3131 N. Vancouver Avenue) on Saturday, April 28, 2012 from 7:30 AM to Noon, everyone who comes to give blood or platelets at the themed drive will also have a chance to score one of twenty Dark Shadows Movie Packages, which includes a pair of pre-screening passes and a full size movie poster. Presenting donors can also enjoy free Dark Shadows giveaway items, free donuts and more! The local pre-screening event for the Pacific Northwest Region will take place in Portland, Oregon at Regal Cinemas Bridgeport Village on May 7, 2012.
