First Responder 5K Fun Run/Walk and Preparedness Fair to Benefit Local American Red Cross

Join us to celebrate first responders, learn about disaster preparedness and support the local American Red Cross Cascades Region at the third annual First Responder 5K Fun Run/Walk and Preparedness Fair. Individuals from more than 15 different emergency response organizations will participate in the event.

Throughout the race course participants will assemble a disaster preparedness starter kit by stopping at stations equipped with information and supplies along the race route. Additionally, the event hosts a free Preparedness Fair to learn practical tips to start preparing for disasters. The 5K Fun Run/Walk costs $35 (free to children 13 and under) and includes a race shirt, race bib and emergency starter kit built throughout the race course. Proceeds benefit the local Red Cross.

Walkers and runners of all ages are encouraged to participate. Pets on a leash and jogging strollers are welcome. All participants will have a chance to meet first responders, Red Cross volunteers and experts in disaster preparedness and recovery.
