Due to the possibility of inclement winter weather and out of concern for the safety of our volunteers and staff, we are postponing our Day of Service 1,000 smoke alarm installation event, which was scheduled for January 14.
The large-scale service event, in partnership with Portland Fire & Rescue, will be rescheduled to October and held as part of National Fire Prevention Week. We will send specific event details as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, there are plenty of opportunities to engage in upcoming smoke alarm installation service activities. Below are dates of our monthly smoke alarm installation events. To register for an upcoming event, email volunteer.cascades@redcross.org or register in Volunteer Connection.
