Happy Birthday to Bert Kile, our Chief Programs and Services Officer. This afternoon the whole staff gathered in the conference room to surprise him. Our CEO tricked him into coming to a “meeting,” and when Bert walked into the room the candles were already lit and we started singing!

And it wasn’t just the staff that was celebrating. His old buddies from the fire department showed up as well. Before coming to the Red Cross 14 years ago, Bert used to be a fire chief so today the firemen suprised him by showing up with the truck for him to ride!

Looks like he had fun…
