On Tuesday, May 19, a family of 3 adults and 5 children had a fire in their house in N. Portland, When Red Cross disaster volunteers arrived, they assisted the family by providing:

–One night lodging in a nearby motel.
–A client assistance card to shop for food.
–Comfort kits for the adults containing shampoo, comb, toothbrush, toothpaste, razor,
washcloth and soap.
–Comfort kits for the children containing shampoo, comb, toothbrush, toothpaste, crayons
and a coloring book.
–Stuffed animals to comfort the small children.
