Venice Is Under Water
Venice is sinking. It has been for centuries. The flooding has become so commonplace that the city builds elevated walkways and shopkeepers keep water barriers on their doors.
But this Monday – on the exact anniversary of our floods – Venice was inundated with the deepest waters they’ve had in 22 years.
The Big Picture Blog documents it stunningly in, of course, big pictures.
What amazes me is how casually Venice residents deal with the deluge. Would you be as prepared as a Venetian for the next flood?
P.S. OPB’s Think Out Loud spent an hour this morning discussing preparedness with experts and listeners in honor of the flood anniversary. Unfortunately, our Emergency Services Director’s call didn’t get through, but listen here, anyway.

Yeah this is worriying, I work with generic viagra labs and near the river we have to close one small office to not put in danger the employes and well they refuse to work there, I'm worried about this because what will happends in a close future.
Thanks
