A final note on faux trees from someone who actually owns not one, but two, incredible vintage aluminum Christmas trees.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT use electric lights on a metallic tree. The tree can become charged with electricity from a faulty light, and a person touching a branch can be electrocuted. Yikes!

If you want some awe without the shock, try using a colored spotlight next to the tree. You could also track down a vintage tree turner. Either way, you’re sure to have the most retro chic (and safe) home on the block.
