Threadless Tee Roundup
As we’ve mentioned before, the blogettes at the Red Cross like to shop. While we’re diligently searching for that perfect vintage coat or those stylish — yet comfortable — pair of heels for work, we’re also on the look out for our other love: all things Red Cross-related. That’s why we were so excited to find these adorable little safety/preparedness/blood graphic tees from Threadless.
We definitely don’t recommend that you breakdance in an emergency. Well, I mean, I guess you could, but only after using all the sweet, life-saving skills you can learn about right here.

Nice shirts 🙂 Made nicer by the fact that none reference vampires! Or Pirates.
Ahoy Scott! I checked out your link and have to say that Portland LOVES pirates and such a promo would probably be pretty popular around here. See for yourself:

Still, while I see the vampire/blood connection, I'm not sure I can figure it out for pirates. Booty = blood? Treasure chest = disater kit? It's awfully tenuous, IMHO.
I was trying to figure it out too 🙂 Blood is definitely a treasure, but not one I would hope to find in a chest! (although, oddly enough, units of blood in Red Cross-esque bags are a treasure to be found in chests in the video game 'Fallout')
September 19th is National Talk Like A Pirate Day and Sept. 19th and 20th is the 2009 Portland Pirate Festival (they want to break the Guinness World Record for people dressed as pirates!).
Ye be warned!
Pirates do have to 'be prepared' for the long journeys. Perhaps there are some tie-ins?
