How Americans use Social Tools in Disasters: Infographic

According to two new surveys conducted by the American Red Cross, Americans are relying more and more on social media, mobile technology and online news outlets to learn about ongoing disasters, seek help and share information about their well-being after emergencies. We saw this yesterday in response to the East Coast Quake (including a ‘laughter’-shock) and companies are realizing they can take simple steps to help save lives, such as Apple announcing it is going to add earthquake notifications to their next iPhone/iPad operating system in Japan.
