PORTLAND, OR, August 3, 2016 – Between July 1 and July 31, the local Red Cross responded to 83 disasters (largely home fires and wildfires) and helped to address the needs of people affected by these disasters in communities throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington. Red Cross staff and volunteers provided disaster assistance, such as temporary housing, food, clothing, comfort kits, information about recovery services, and health and mental health services in locations spanning from Longview, WA to Klamath Falls, OR and Milton-Freewater, OR to North Bend, OR.
July disaster responses include:

1. July 1, at 11 p.m., in the 700 block of NE Ford in McMinnville, OR, Yamhill County. This single family fire affected two adults.

2. July 1, at 5 p.m., in the 400 block of Myrtle Street in Sutherlin, OR, Douglas County.This multi-family fire affected seven adults and six pets.

3. July 2, at 1 a.m., in the 22000 block of Cole Court, Tualitan, OR, Washington County. This single family fire affected four adults.

4. July 3, at 3 p.m., in the 1600 block of Terry Street in Eugene,OR, Lane County. This single family fire affected two adults.

5. July 3, at 4 p.m., in the 2000 block of D St, and the 500 block of 20th St in Springfield, OR, Lane County. This multi-structure, multi-family fire incident affected seven adults and five children.

6. July 3, at 4:30 p.m., in the 13000 block of SW Electric St in Beaverton,OR, Washington County. This single family fire affected one adult.

7. July 3, at 8 p.m., in the 1000 block of SE Lincoln Rd in Prineville,OR, Crook County. This single-family fire affected two adults.

8. July 4, at 3 a.m., in the 9000 block of N Chicago Ave, Portland, Oregon, Multnomah County. This single family fire affected four adults and two pets.

9. July 4, at 11 a.m., in the 20000 block of NE Felkel Rd in Yacolt, OR, Clark County. This single family fire affected two adults.

10. July 4, at 10 a.m., in the 2000 block of Stortz Ave in Salem,OR, Marion County. This single family fire affected two adults and two pets.

11. July 5, at 9 p.m., in the 400 block of North Comstock in Sutherlin, OR, Douglas County. This multi-family fire affected two adults.

12. July 5, at 3 p.m., in the 300 block of West Amanda Street in Roseburg, OR, Douglas County. The single family fire affecteed two adults and four pets.

13. July 5, at 2 p.m., in the 800 block of Faymar Drive in Keizer, OR, Marion County. The single family fire affected three adults and four pets.

14. July 5, at 3 a.m., in the 700 block of 53rd Place in Springfield,OR, Lane County. This multi-family fire affected four adults, two children and two pets.

15. July 5, at 1 p.m., in the in the 62600 block of Bird Lane in La Grande, OR, Union County. This single family fire affected one adult and four pets.

16. July 5, in the 800 block of Myrtle Ave in Reedsport, Oregon. This single family fire affected one adult.

17. July 6, at 2 p.m., in the 50000 block of Crocket Road in Milton Freewater, OR, Umatilla County. This single family fie affected two adults and two children.

18. July 7, at 9:30 a.m., in the 20400 block of Highway 126 in Veneta, OR, Lane County. This single family fire affected two adults.
