First Day On The Job
So after catching about four hours of sleep on the plane, I arrived at National Headquarters this morning and started right in working (well, training and then working). I’ve been doing a lot of updates to the Online Newsroom. And WOW…there is SO much information to publish. SO many affected areas, and such big numbers – it really boggles the mind. For some reason the whole huge scope of the floods really didn’t hit me until I started typing in all those numbers. I’m really glad I’m here to help with a part of the response. And I have to say this…If you want to help, please donate to the Disaster Relief Fund. Seriously. It will make a big difference to a lot of people.
And just a shout out to all the folks here at NHQ – you guys rock! Thanks for being so friendly, funny, and patient. Especially, Claire (the super smiley woman pictured above). If you’re reading this, Claire, remember to relax this weekend! I’ve got things covered.

Thanks Robin! I’m so glad to hear you’re enjoying your time in DC. I know yesterday must have been information overload, but hopefully you got a full night sleep last night. I know I can rest easy because you’ve got it covered. Thanks so much for all your hard work. You ROCK!
